L O S T Season One

Well how did we get ourselves into this pickle....

Ruth and I sat down to watch the first episode of Lost, a series based around a plane crash on an Island in the South Pacific. The surivors are waiting to be rescued, but they were 1000 miles course and no one is coming to find them...

We are hooked and try and get through 2 episodes a night..thats 80 mins. The storylines are amazing and scary.

Season One has 25 episodes........thats 1000 mins. Another 6 seasons to go........thats 7000 mins in total.. ...116 hours in total....and season 8 is about to be shown on TV.

We must be mad.

Heres a promo to give u an idea what its about...enjoy.

A tribute to the greatest movie of all time...

well my bruv Kevin thinks so anyway..........

Dendrocopos major

or to us mere mortals........The Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Birdwatch is in full swing at Manor Park. Blackbirds, finches, tits and robins are common place. However the surprise of the day was a woodpecker grazing on a feeder. I managed to take a photo which I appreciate is about as obvious and convincing as photos taken of the Loch Ness monster!! You will have to just take our word for it.

Further details of this spectacular bird can be found on this link
